IronDrone runs a vetted network of certificated remote pilots supporting search & rescue and public-safety agencies — with flight logging and chain-of-custody recording built in from the first flight, not bolted on later.

Operations run within a defined operating area under visual-line-of-sight rules today. The beyond-visual-line-of-sight authorization that extends that range is in preparation, and the platform is being built to the safety-case standard that application requires.

01 / INTAKE

An agency reports an incident

A dispatcher enters the incident and its location. It enters the board with a defined type, priority, and operating area — never an open-ended request.

02 / DISPATCH

The nearest eligible operator is pinged

Eligibility is checked before anyone is contacted: approved status, current certification, and availability. If nobody accepts, the search radius widens automatically and the dispatcher is told the moment it is exhausted.

03 / ON SCENE

The requesting agency sees the feed

The agency gets a read-only view of the mission as it runs. Recordings are captured for chain of custody; the activity log is append-only and cannot be edited after the fact.

Missing persons, lost hikers, and disaster-area survey — where an extra set of eyes overhead in the first hour changes the outcome, and volunteer aerial support is already welcome.

Public-safety support

Higher-stakes agency requests where the evidence trail matters as much as the footage. This is the case the vetting and chain-of-custody model is built for.

Operator vetting

Nobody flies on a self-declaration.

Every operator clears the same checks before they can ever be dispatched, and those checks are re-run — a lapsed certification removes an operator from eligibility automatically.

Government ID and identity match — reviewed against every document submitted.
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate — captured and verified, not taken on trust.
Recurrent training currency — an expired recurrency ends eligibility that day.
Corroboration against the FAA airmen registry — a name that does not match goes to human review.
Aircraft registration on file — make, model, and registration for the safety case.
Human review on anything ambiguous — inconclusive is never treated as approved.

Responsibility

Where the line sits.

IronDrone verifies that every operator in its network holds a current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and is current on recurrent training, and dispatches only within a defined operating area under published procedures.

Operators remain individually responsible, as certificated remote pilots, for the legality of each flight — including compliance with any temporary flight restriction, any required airspace authorization, and IronDrone's operating procedures. IronDrone does not direct manual flight paths and does not control drone hardware.

Beyond-visual-line-of-sight operations require specific FAA authorization. IronDrone does not conduct them, and does not represent that it holds such authorization, until one is granted.
